who are we?
Potadóir is, at its heart, an expression of a deep love of clay & creativity. All of our work is handmade by me (Kevin), and draws its inspiration heavily from the natural landscape of West Clare.
Our studio is in Spanish Point, in a 250 year-old stone cowshed. We produce tableware, both for cafes & restaurants, and as homewares. We’ll be opening our webshop soon - stay tuned for that - and we’re always open to commissions and collaborations.
We’re also obsessed with teaching - sharing the craft of pottery is really important to us. We do terms of weekly morning & evening classes, and this Autumn, we’ll be offering wheel rental packages, so you can come to the studio under your own steam and work independently.

I love pottery. I've loved it since the moment I touched clay a couple of years ago, as a therapeutic practice to recover from a scary car crash.
l've been blessed to learn from master potters all over Europe, Morocco, and Scandinavia. I love pottery for those experiences. I've loved it since I moved to West Clare in November, to embark on a pottery journey full-time. I love it for the people I’ve met because of clay, and for the peace and stillness it brings me. I'm obsessed, and I'm excited to share my obsession under the banner of Potadóir.
play with clay!
LET’S GET CREATIVE
Come and experience pottery in my studio in Spanish Point! I offer one-off studio experiences, weekend courses, and blocks of evening classes to suit all experience levels. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist, or a creative person, to have fun with clay - just come with an open mind and a willingness to get a bit messy!
I run regular blocks of evening classes (next one starting in August) and am very flexible with organising experiences for groups of friends/family.
